This article presents the results of a study that identifies functions, vocabulary, grammar and standards common in young learner EFL curriculum in eight countries, the Common European Framework and Cambridge Young Learners Tests. The identification of these common curricular features provides useful guidance in the preparation of English language materials for young learners.
